Produced in vineyards located on the hills of Bricco di Neive. It has a full body, always stern and develops a pleasantly tannic structure. A good match for dishes rich with flavour.
Wine Maker Notes:
Intense aromas of blackberries, raspberries and violets. Full- to medium-bodied, with well-integrated, silky tannins and a lovely mineral, fruit aftertaste. Chewy.
Dry & Full Body
Originating in the section of the Barbaresco area Bricco. During the month of August the thinning out of the grapes takes place in the vineyard, followed by a careful selection of the grapes during the harvest. The color is very important in red wine, that's why the stalks are removed from the grapes before pressing them softly. The refinement takes place in small French barrels. The flavor is stern, complex yet pleasant with great structure. To be served with red meat and cheeses.
100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Estate’s historical vineyards of Bricco de Neive hill. Calcareous clay soils. Hilly exposure south-west. Sub-zone for the production of Barbaresco, BRICCO.
Yield: 45-50 hl/hectare
Vinification: fermentation and maceration at 28/30 C in stainless steel tanks for 12/15 days
Maturing: from 20 to 24 months in oak casks followed by 12 months in the bottle
Serving Temperature: 20/22C
Colour: deep garnet red, becoming orangey with age
Perfume: intense and pervasive bouquet with scents of pansies and liquorices
Flavor: full and dry with a smooth entry, it develops with a pleasantly tannic structure
Serving Suggestions: perfect with red meat dishes, braised meat and game. Ideal for drinking while alone or in the company of friends.
